he/they

I've been part of the international rubber community for over ten years – in different countries, cities, and contexts. Growing up in rural Germany, I learned early on to adapt and hold back. Through rubber, I learned something different: to show myself. Not as a role, but as myself.

Rubber is far more than a fetish or an aesthetic for me. Latex is a second skin – honest, present, and sometimes uncomfortable. Showing yourself in rubber also means being vulnerable and accepting your own body as it is. That feeling of "I am here, I'm allowed to be here, and I belong" is something I still connect with the rubber community to this day. It was and remains a safe space for me, a place of friendship, support, and mutual responsibility.

I've been living in Berlin for four years, and the fact that there is finally a Mister Rubber title here just feels right. I'm applying because I want to carry these experiences forward visibly. Not loudly and not perfectly, but present, responsible, and with a genuine connection to the scene. Kink is part of who we are – and who we will be. Rubber makes visible what sustains us: self-acceptance, consent, and community.

Mao

he/him

Hi my name is Mao, I moved to Berlin in 2015, here I knew what freedom meant.

I am proof that chasing a new life is possible, but change is messy and wonderful. Getting lost in this city is easy, I've seen the darkest side of it, I've had it running in my veins. Once lost inside its chaotic shadow, now I stand proudly as a sober Kinkster, a title I'm happy to carry because it reminds me of where I was and that resilience is stronger than shame.

My story is not about perfection, but courage to speak and live honestly about sobriety, sex, recovery, kindness and kinks, in a world that sometimes chooses to look the other way.

Berlin has polished me with its grit and glitter, with darkrooms, underground vibe and unapologetic edge.

And I bring that with me everywhere I go, alongside a message of hope and forgiveness for those that like me, feel/felt nameless, too far gone or unloved, to show that we are not defined by our past but by the way we decide to take control of our future!

I decided to apply to be able to share my message and if I win, to keep doing so proudly as Mr. Rubber Berlin 2026.

Contestant #3

Cobalt

they/them

Hello everyone — I'm Cobalt. I moved to Berlin last year and am new to the local scene, though I've been active in the fetish and kink communities for over 20 years.

I bring my authentic self everywhere I go: that includes my kinks and my openness about living with depression and past suicide attempts. I know how isolating it can feel to be new or to struggle alone. Finding my place in the rubber and kink community changed that for me, and I want to be a resource and a welcoming presence for others. Whether I win or not, my goal is to support and bring people together so everyone feels safe, included, and looked after as we are all one community.
